How do you crop a photo?

Proper Cropping

Cropping photos is an easy way to improve a photo. For the best crop, first take into consideration the subject of the photo. You want your crop to zero in on the subject. Don't crop too closely, though for cutting off the subject's feet or hands can make the edit a failure. When cropping a picture of a person, try to follow these simple rules. For a close-up photo, crop so that the head and shoulders of the person is left in the photo. For a full body image, make sure that all of the limbs are visible in the finished image, thus the full body. The rule of thirds is helpful for all other subjects. Make sure that you crop so that your subject is in the upper left or right third of the photo or the bottom right or left third of the photo. These are the areas where the eye naturally travels when viewing something.
